The Princess Bride Sequel!

William Goldman is finally writing a sequel to his classic tale of adventure and romance! Giants! Swordfights! Evilest men! Bravest heroes! Truest love! "The Princess Bride" had it all. Goldman has so far only pubished some preview chapters. Iread them in the bookstore and I am sad to say that they seem very mediocre compared to the original. Hopefully, that is just because they were out of context. It would be terrible if Goldman ruined one of the greatest adventure storeis of all time with a lousy sequel.

Wow, new updates as I read it. Is this good service or what? Thanks Mike. Anyway, I agree that the sequel is not as good as the first. It is even somewhat inconsistent. For example, he has Fezzik the giant being afraid of heights even though he climbed up the cliffs of insanity holding nothing but a thin rope while carrying three people. While the book does not specifically say that Fezzik was not afraid of height, this scene certainly indicates he wasn't, and to come back later and say that Fezzik really is afraid of height, but climbing a staggeringly high, incredibly sheer cliff while carrying three people is a special circumstance does not sound a right.
